Convection cooking provides faster cooking times than regular radiant-type electric ovens; the fan gently sends hot air to every area of the food, quickly browning, crisping, and sealing in moisture and flavour. It produces a more even temperature all around the food by hot air movement, so that food cooks/bakes/broils evenly, versus the normal ovens hot and cold spots. You can operate the Igenix electric mini oven with four, easy-to-use control dials: the fan assist dial allows you to select users with or without convection fan assistance, the temperature dial allows you to select your desired cooking temperature between 100 and 230°c, the function dial allows you to selects between grill, bake, or roast modes, and the timer dial allows you to set a timer from 0 to 60 minutes to assist with the preparation of time-critical dishes.
