This charcoal barbecue is of high quality, providing ample cooking space whilst employing different cooking methods. The black enamel cooking grid has a diameter of 44cm with removable handles sit at a working height of around 75cm. With the lid fitted to prevent heat escaping, heat is distributed evenly to the food on the grill, similar to a convection oven. Special air vents allow you to control air circulation whilst also preventing the coals from going out. Remove the lid and use this grill for direct cooking to sear steaks, grill sausages, burgers, kebabs, etc. Finally, use the included charcoal holder to position fuel where you want and use the gourmet’s barbecue method of choice, indirect grilling. In this way, food is not placed directly over the heat, and with the lid closed, convection and radiant heat cook the food. This method is ideal for thicker cuts of meat that require a longer cooking time, allowing it to remain moist and succulent. A thermometer built into the lid lets you easily monitor the cooking temperature. This grill is mounted on 3 stainless steel legs, two of which are fitted with plastic wheels. By using the handle fitted on the opposite side, the grill can be tilted onto the wheels and easily position where you like, on your patio, or in the garden. A small, triangular chrome-plated rack is fitted between the legs, providing some useful storage. The charcoal grid holds up to 1.5kg of fuel and there is a removable ash pot to aid cleaning up.
