This spherically-curved, high-rimmed pan is a pot, steamer and frying pan in one and is regarded as one of the most important cooking utensils in Asia. Not only is this wok perfect for creating authentic, Asian dishes, but it is also ideal for steaming, braising and stewing any type of meat, fish or vegetable. The most well-known method of cooking with a wok is of course stir-frying, a process of continuously stirring ingredients and quickly searing them over a high heat. The deep, round shape of the product ensures for even heat distribution, while the extractor in the metal lid enables steam to escape. Traditionally, there are two opposing handles on the sides of a wok, however this particular model features both a long and short handle. Nowadays, a wok does not need to weigh a lot in order for heat to be thoroughly and evenly distributed around the pan.
