The Gardeco fire blanket is ideal for covering an accidental fire and thus preventing its spread. It is recommended a fire blanket is kept handy when using real fire inside the home or garden. To use, drape the blanket over the flames to seal off air and leave in position until cool. Ideal for pan fires, split fires in garden or hearth. If clothing is on fire, force the victim onto the ground, wrap the fire blanket over the flames, roll the victim onto the ground inside the blanket if necessary and seek medical help. Made of 100% quality woven fibreglass which is not flammable. Conforms with EN-1869:1997 standard certificate B-S10030206.It is recommended the fire blanket is kept in its protective box. This box can be fitted onto the wall (fixings not supplied). When required, pull the two black tapes to open the box and release the blanket. Deploy the blanket and gently cover the area with the fire, ensuring the whole area is completely covered by the blanket. Turn off the source of fire if possible. Leave the fire blanket in place until cool. Call the fire brigade if necessary.
