A casserole dish is a traditional, thick-walled cast iron cooking pot, which has been used for centuries. The material evenly distributes heat over the entire pot, warming the food from all sides. Charcoal or briquettes can also be placed on top of the lid to generate extra heat from above. By turning the lid over, it can also be used as a second pan. Thanks to the three feet on the base, the casserole dish stands firmly both in and above the fire.
